Notes in this garden exist at one of three maturity levels.
Polished notes
Complete, reviewed, and intended to be useful as standalone references. These have:
- A clear definition or introduction
- Structured sections with explanations
- Examples or diagrams where they help
- Accurate tags and frontmatter
Most published notes in cs/dsa/ and cs/pl/ aim for this level.
Working notes
Published but incomplete. These contain real content - not just placeholders - but may be missing sections, lack examples, or need editing. They’re usable but clearly in progress.
Working notes are published (draft: false) and visible on the site.
Drafts
Unpublished outlines or stubs. These have draft: true in their frontmatter and are not visible on the published site. They exist in the repo as scaffolding for future writing.
Drafts become working notes when they have enough real content to be useful to a reader, and working notes become polished notes through review and revision.
