The plan is simple. Play one course worth remembering in every state, then start on the rest of the world. This page is two things at once: the wishlist of where I still want to play, and the index of the rounds I have already written up.

Here is how it works. A course sits here as plain text while it is only a wish, so there is nothing to click. The day I play it, that line becomes a link to its review and the round earns a full write-up from the course template. The page fills in as I go, and a clickable name means I have been there. USA first. The world comes after the map starts filling in.

How to read this

  • ◯ means it is on the list and not played yet. Plain text, nothing to click.
  • A linked course name means it is played and written up. Click it for the review.
  • One course per state is the floor, not the ceiling. Add more under a state whenever one earns it.

When I play one

  1. Copy courses/_template.md to courses/<course-slug>.md (for example pebble-beach.md) and write the review.
  2. Back here, swap the ◯ plain-text line for a link: [[off-watch/golf/courses/pebble-beach|Pebble Beach]].
  3. That swap from plain text to link is the whole status system. No table to maintain.
